My doctor has given me benzyl peroxide cream for my acne. Does
this medication work well?
Benzyl peroxide is as good as your urine- it is the most useless drug
in the pharmacopeia. It has been around for decades and used to treat a variety
of skin
disorders. Benzyl peroxide is available in many formulations including foams,
lotions, creams, gels, liquids and bars. As far as acne
is concerned, topical benzyl peroxide is garbage. Not worth spending even a
dime.
If you have bad acne, go and see a reputable skin doctor. Most GPs have
no clue how to manage acne and keep on giving out scripts for medications that do jack
shit. Ask for tretinoin-expensive but it is the magic drug for ACNE
