Is chocolate good for the heart?
Everyday
there is news about chocolate; some say it is good, some say it is bad.
And still others say it is the type of chocolate you eat. Dark and bitter
chocolate is better than white or the sweet chocolate. Few studies have shown
that one to two servings of dark chocolate may help reduce the risk of heart
disease. How chocolates prevent heart disease remains unknown.
Some
experts claim that the cocoa from which chocolate is made contains a variety of
anti-oxidants like flavonoids. So if you are going to eat chocolate to protect
your heart, make sure it has a high cocoa content. Most chocolates from Europe
tend to have a high cocoa content, but not the British chocolates.
In
the long run like everything else, chocolate is only good in moderation. If you
eat too much, you will definitely gain weight,
develop acne
and increase your risk of heart disease.
If you rely on any one supplement or food product for good health- you are a fool.
