Surgery for neck pain

MY GF has had neck pain for a long time. She has been to many doctors and an MRI recently revealed mild to moderate spinal stenosis. She has no other symptoms asides from neck pain. Should she undergo surgery?

Let me tell you the facts. Surgery anywhere on the spine has horrific results. I beg you to consider another option. In my 25 years in medicine, I have yet to see one person improve after cervical spine surgery. The majority of patients are worse off than prior to surgery. While there are some great spine surgeons, the majority are akin to butchers. Just go online and read the reviews about patients who have had spine surgery.

Go for a non surgical option. The complications of cervical spine surgery are not trivial. Not only can the surgery cause worse pain, it can paralyze you. Again, avoid all spine surgeons and you will never regret it. Take a pain pill, try some Prozac, do yoga, pray but AVOID surgery at all costs.
